ERCE Team Grows in Singapore Office
ERCE has added technical and commercial capability to our Asia Pacific office in Singapore. We welcome Dr. Munish Kumar and Kannapan Swaminathan the team. ERCE Singapore has a full multi-disciplinary team supporting geophysics, geology, petrophysics, reservoir engineering, facilities & cost engineering and petroleum economics.
Dr. Munish Kumar has more than 11 years of experience in the petroleum industry and is a Staff Petrophysicist at ERC Equipoise. He has worked as a Petrophysisict and engineer at multinational operating companies, joining ERC Equipoise in 2020, after 7 years with ExxonMobil (in Australia & the US) and 3 years at Total S.A. (in Singapore). Munish has worked in exploration, development and production internationally, and has experience in operational roles in all aspects of logging, pressure interpretation, core analysis, high angle and horizontal wells, capillary pressure, electrofacies and rock type modelling. Through his operational experience, he has acquired advanced working knowledge of reservoir engineering and geomodelling. He is also able to understand and integrate data related to DST, PVT, fluid analysis, relative permeability and wettability, geomechanics, prospect and risking, structural geology and biostratigraphy into his analysis. His has acquired a good understanding of commercial sensitivities and requirements through regular reporting to technical, commercial and senior level management. Munish has also been involved with portfolio management and budget reporting. To date, he has published 22 scientific articles in various journals.
Kannapan Swaminathan has approximately eight years of Reservoir Engineering experience in the upstream oil and gas industry where he has been involved in the appraisal and development of new fields and the reservoir and production management of mature fields. His work experience includes oil and gas reserves and resources estimations, field development planning, reservoir simulation modelling, production surveillance and optimization, production forecasting and economic evaluations using deterministic and probabilistic methodologies. He also has experience in operational roles supervising wireline logging, well test and completions operations and has a solid working knowledge of Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) design and operations.
Previously, Kanna was a Reservoir Engineer at KrisEnergy between 2012 and 2019 in Singapore and had worked on projects in Thailand, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Vietnam and Malaysia. He holds a Meng in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the South East Asia Petroleum Exploration Society.
