This one-day conference has been collaboratively organised by the AAPGEAGE, SPE and PESGB. The event will take place on Monday 26th November at Baden-Powell House in London and is conveniently timed ahead of PETEX.

This unique conference aims to address the challenges that young professionals (YPs) in the energy industry face on a day-to-day basis, tackling critical issues such as how the energy industry will be shaped in the future, and how this will impact YP career development. The conference will also explore changes in the energy mix and the development of innovative, disruptive technologies.

The conference will be followed by an evening reception and awards ceremony, where YPs will have the opportunity to vote for and thank their mentors and companies for providing rewarding and relevant training schemes.

YPs from ERCE, geoscientists and engineers alike, will be attending this event and look forward to meeting and learning from other early career energy professionals, and their more experienced predecessors.

A full conference program can be found on the PESGB website here.

Registrations for the Young Professionals Summit and Evening Reception are still open and can be purchased via eventbrite.

Young Professionals Summit and Evening Reception

26th November Baden-Powell House, London

Following the 2014 downturn, young professionals (YPs) in the energy industry have faced fewer job opportunities and more restrictive regulations, while facing great technical challenges, including in efficiency and unconventional resources. At the same time demand for reliable energy supply continues to increase, and innovation adds to the wealth of knowledge required.

Young professionals face unique challenges which this event aims to address.
