Enhancing energy evaluation

As an independent energy consulting group, ERCE’s multi-disciplinary team collaborates to find solutions and add value to the technical and commercial challenges given to us by clients for the evaluation of upstream energy projects. We are a dynamic group of individuals with a diverse range of experience and expertise encompassing graduates right through to the management team who have many years of experience in Oil and Gas and service companies.

Our services include:

  • Technical Studies
We offer our clients the full spectrum of sub-surface skills from primary seismic interpretation, to static modelling to numerical simulation
  • Reserves and Resources evaluation
A combination of skills and experience has helped us become an established name in the field of oil and gas Reserves and Resources Evaluation. Our technical abilities alongside our longstanding association with the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers (SPEE) make us an obvious choice for clients requiring:
  • Commercial Analysis
ERCE’s economics group is an integrated team of field development engineers and economists undertaking evaluations, valuations and conceptual studies for clients with upstream assets within the exploration, development and production cycle
  • Unitisation and Expert Services
Success as an Expert is dependent on excellence in technical evaluations, understanding procedures, time management and critical evaluation of points of argument. Since 1982, our expertise has been sought in over 30 major disputes in the oil and gas industry, utilising the multi-disciplinary and specialist skillsets of our staff to ensure success for our clients. Throughout this time we have developed a thorough understanding of court, regulatory hearing and arbitration proceedings.

We continue to develop specialist skillsets to add value to our services. Quantitative Geophysics, Depth Conversion and Reservoir Engineering Studies are just some of our areas of expertise. ERCE Directors Sean McQuaid, Glyn Pugh, Paul Chernik and Dr Adam Law lecture on these topics at leading UK Universities and provide training courses both to our staff and externally.

Continued Professional Development is provided for all our staff. Graduates joining the company develop their technical abilities to our high standards through our programme which is accredited with the Geological Society of London and the Energy Institute. We actively encourage all at ERCE to join relevant professional societies and work towards Chartered status in their chosen discipline.
